Terms & Conditions – Pet Portrait Commissions

1. Commissioned artwork

  • - All portraits are custom-made based on the photos and information provided by the client.

  • - The artist retains full copyright on all artwork, including sketches, digital proofs, and final pieces. This allows the artist to display completed work on websites or social media unless the client requests otherwise before work begins.

  • - Clients may not reproduce, sell, or use the artwork commercially without written permission from the artist.


2. Reference photos

  • - Clients must provide clear, high‑quality photos and confirm they have the legal right to use them.

  • - Poor photo quality may affect the final result; the artist may request additional images.


3. Deposits & payment

  • - A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure a commission slot. This covers consultation time and initial preparatory work.

  • - Balance of 50% must be paid in full before the artwork is shipped.

  • - International clients are responsible for any currency conversion fees their bank may apply.


4. Revisions

  • - Reasonable adjustments may be requested during the review stage based on the preview image provided.

  • - Major revisions or changes after approval may incur additional fees.


5. Shipping & delivery (local & international)

  • - Artwork is packed securely for transit. In the event of damage, clients must provide photos of the packaging and item and return the artwork for replacement.

  • - International shipping times may vary depending on customs, courier delays, or regional restrictions.

  • - Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or additional border-related fees in their country.


6. Refunds & cancellations

  • - Deposits are non-refundable.

  • - Refunds may be considered only before the final artwork has begun, depending on the stage of the process.

  • - Custom artwork cannot be refunded once final work has started or is completed.

7. Privacy

  • - Any personal information (emails, addresses, photos) is used only for fulfilling the commission and will not be shared with third parties except where required for payment or delivery services.
